The JATO was established in June 1996 as a non-profit organization. We are the only organization in Japan that consists solely of NATA members. Currently, the majority of ATCs in Japan are members of the JATO. There are three categories of membership, regular, associate and student. NATA certification is required to become a regular member, while any associate member of the NATA can become an associate member of the JATO. Only regular members have the right to vote for the board of directors and to become a director.
